WHAT WE DO?

The payment service user is entitled to file a complaint to the Resolution Commission of the National Bank of Georgia (henceforth "Commission") regarding the payment service provider, in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Payment Systems and Payment Services, within a period of 6 months from the date of filing the complaint with the payment service provider, and only in the event that the complaint is not satisfactorily addressed (including non-response or partial satisfaction) within that timeframe. A payment service user may file an appeal with the commission provided that their claim does not exceed 50,000 GEL or, in the case of the foreign currency, the equivalent of 50,000 GEL (at the time of the disputed action or filing). The commission evaluates the dispute and makes its decision within 90 calendar days from the date it receives the complaint (with the possibility of a 30-day extension). The commission shall conduct a free-of-charge evaluation of the dispute. The service user has the right to go to court without addressing the commission.
